一个人的富贵从哪里来？
Where does one’s wealth come from?
人的富贵，主要从两方面而来。
People’s wealth comes mainly from two aspects.
一个是自身的积累。
One is their own accumulation.
另一个是家庭资源的积累。
The other is the accumulation of family resources.
自身的积累，包括一个人积累的德，自身的努力程度、自己的自律程度等等。
Your own accumulation includes your accumulated virtue, your own efforts, your own self-discipline, and so on.
而家庭资源的积累，则是祖辈、父辈积累的德和努力造福到子孙后代。
The accumulation of family resources is the virtue and efforts accumulated by ancestors and fathers to benefit future generations.
其实，大部分的大家族，都是几代人努力的结果。
In fact, most big families are the result of the efforts of several generations.
就像一些富二代，他们的起点比别人高，一出生就不用愁吃穿，一出生就过上衣食无忧的日子，那是因为他们的祖辈、父辈付出了太多太多的努力和积累。
Like some rich second generation, their starting point is higher than others. They don’t have to worry about food and clothing when they are born, and they live a life without worry about food and clothing when they are born. That is because their grandparents and fathers have paid too much effort and accumulation.
当然，能够成长在什么样的家庭环境，也不是我们自己能够说了算。
Of course, what kind of family environment we can grow up in is not our own the final say.
这是一种命运的选择。
This is a choice of fate.
这不是人为可以干预的。
This is not human intervention.
所以，当出生环境我们无法改变，那我们就只能从自身去做好。
Therefore, when we cannot change the birth environment, we can only do well from ourselves.
当我们足够的努力，我们不仅日子过得越来越好，而且还会让我们是子孙后代有更好的起点。
When we work hard enough, we will not only live better and better, but also have a better starting point for future generations.
