Wang Yangming was a famous thinker, philosopher, and strategist of the Ming Dynasty. He proposed the theory of “mind learning”, emphasizing the important role of inner cultivation and development in life.

He believes that a narrow heart can lead to the breeding of various negative emotions, while a broad mind can open the door to happiness.

Narrow mindedness is the root of misfortune “refers to the rich negative emotions that can arise if a person’s heart is narrow, such as suspicion, hatred, anxiety, anger, and so on.

These emotions can disrupt a person’s peace and tranquility, affecting their interpersonal relationships and work life.

More seriously, these emotions can also trigger malice and violence, causing harm to others.

The concept of ‘opening up the mind is the door to happiness’ refers to the ability to obtain pleasure and peace from the opening up of the heart.

Only by maintaining an open and open-minded mind can one accommodate more life experiences and learning, and enhance one’s overall quality.

At the same time, this comfortable inner state will also bring more interpersonal relationships and success in work and life.

Wang Yangming realized that the cultivation and evolution of the soul is an eternal and continuous process.

People should persistently cultivate themselves and maintain a good mindset and emotional state every day.

Only in this way can we truly achieve the goal of “narrow mindedness as the root of misfortune, and broad mindedness as the door to happiness”.

This idea also inspires us to pay attention to our inner cultivation and growth in life, constantly improve ourselves, and become a more perfect self.
